Hi, I am getting an 8" sub and box from WLaurent. I was going to put it into the side well of the trunk, as his web picture shows, but I was wondering about putting it where the spare is, facing front? Anyone done this? Is it better? Will it decrease the muffled sound I may get with a side-of-trunk install?

Is that sub in a box? I know: stupid question, but it looks like a good amount room left over.

How does it sound in the cabin? Muffled or not?

What size is the sub?

The whole trunk is custom and yes that is the sub. Sounds great and it is a JL 10w6.
