Default sub placement

im kinda new to the sound system thing im wondering if anyone has placed their sub where the soft top collapses into i figured it would be a great place to put it especially when the top is up and your getting a DB reading. my amp is rather large so thats why im putting it in place where the sub would be

I have...
Whats cool is that the original tray still fits, but I made a new tray out of MDF and cut wholes in it and covered the whole piece with grill cloth, to alow the bass excape into the cabin..
And yes my spare tire cover still fits like nothing happened..

i like your design but im trying to have no wires showing. i have done all the wiring myself running from my head unit (sony Xplode) into my amp (memphis audio PR 4.50)
into my component door speakers (hertz) and my 2 way speakers behind my seat (infinity). i just wish i had the money now to become a member so that i can post pics of my progress on here

u can easily hide the wires, that is just what it looked like right when i installed it like almost a year ago, the wires are no longer there..

but what im thinking of doing is cutting the plastic where the soft top collapses into and put the sub in there so that i can keep the spare tire in the car

the tray basically touches the tire, so either you will have to take the tire out or put the box on top, but then u cant lower the top..

infinite baffle is if you run a sub without a box.. You can only use subs that are designed for that.. Most subs u have to have a box..
