subs inside vehicle, not in trunk
hello, i'm currently deployed to iraq but i plan on purchasing a s2k when i get home. i was curious as to how much space there is behind each seat. i'm 5'8 and i'd like to try and put a thin sub maybe an 8 or a 10 behind one of the seats with an amp behind the other. is this possible?

You can't put a sub behind the seat without cutting structural metal. There are other places you CAN do it though, most common is the passenger footwell.
Do a search, i cant cuz it will take to long and im at work. There are tons of people with subs inside there car
definitely possible. i'm 5'7" and i was extremely close to finishing my fiberglass box until the summer began and i ended up having no time to finish the box. I got a shallow sony sub that would have been perfect for behind the seat and had more than enough air space for a sealed box. I ended up building a box for the tool well for the time being until i have time to finish up the fiberglass box though.
I searched for "passenger footwell" threads but didn't find any examples, just a mention. Anyone have pics to share? Sure sounds like the best bang if it doesn't completely ruin the foot area for passengers.

Here is mine from a few years back located under the steering column. There may be links in my original post to other installs. Note that this was on a MY2000 and I don't know how much has changed under there in newer models.

Lateott, awesome thread! Thanks for the link and that amazing work. Something for me to consider for sure.
I don't mind losing trunk space but it seems such a waste in terms of muffling the output and fighting buzz.
