Anybody mount a small subwoofer behind the driver seat, going into the area where some people have mounted amps? I REALLY don't want to chew up valuable trunk space.

Well you can get creative and not loose space. I hope your only 5'5" tall. If not any amp is going to push your seat pretty far up. Under the seat isnt much better because of head dispersion. I will be putting an amp in the left side of the trunk behind the wall. Some interesting bracing will be needed. It wont look pretty but hay its not for show!

I was interested in the same thing...
is it possible to get some woofers to fit behind the seats?
the trunk is small enough as it is..
won't this be better if the space is available?
more space in the trunk
less total resonance...hate rattles!

I just got done upgrading by tunes. Basically I kept things relatively cheap. I have upgraded speakers in door. Mounted a 400w amp and disk changer in trunk. I removed the spare tire and buildt a box to hold a 12 Bass speaker which fits in where spare tire was. I can easily pull it out and set in trunk and replace spare tire for road trips. Will duplicate box for $65 if you are interested. Sounds are great. But this wasn't buildt to be a Thumper. I just wanted more volume and quality of sound.

I would never remove the spare for this. You do most of your driving near home. This is where you will likely get a flat and this is where you will be f*****.

I have a cell, free towing from the dealership where I bought the car and AAA. I also only put about 50 miles a week on the car. The inconvience of being stuck along the side of the road once every ten years for an hour or two is not that high of a price to pay for the pleasure of years of driving pleasure.

The point is I think, to get a great sounding system without having to make the spare tire sacrifice. Plus... you have the risk of major screw ups with towing and or flat bed idiots.

Pinky, You always mention the bass shakers. I have four sitting in my living room that I haven't installed yet.
Where do you suggest I put them? Mount them to the floor? I figured this is the only way. Can you put them on the bottem of the seat?
Thanks
