subwoofer enclosures
Just for fun, I'm looking into sub enclosures for the s2k. I noticed these trunk side enclosures which seem reasonably priced although they don't mention volume specs:

Does anyone have any experience with them and how they sound? How would they compare to a toolkit sub box like the JL Stealthbox? Obviously the Stealthbox costs wayyy more, but it seems like it'd take up less trunk space, although it seems a bit sketch to put stuff on top of the grill cover.

can't answer anything about that specific box, though it appears similar in
design to Darkside's V1 box. William (wlaurent) has been making them for
years, and lists specs on his site.

I don't believe that seller is either Darkside or GoTuning
Edit: I responded a little too quickly - S2CarbonWorks appears to be linked to
Berlinas2k2. However, Darkside Subs is someone totally different, who has
been making these boxes for years, and has many satisfied customers, myself
included.

Yikes, I did a search on berlinas2k2 and that dude seems sketch. So what about gotuning itself...is gotuning sketch?
GoTuning is
As far as enclosures go, though, I'd go with DarkSideSubs. I know William personally and have one of his tool well enclosures (over 2 years now). Quality is top notch

I recently purchased a box directly from S2CarbonWorks. I'm not too sure what I think of it. It fits pretty nicely, which was my reason for buying it, that as far as perks, that's pretty much all I got.
1:There was a lot of glue an resin left on the ring, which caused it not to seal properly.
2: When looking from the inside of the box, I noticed a lot of light shining through in the corners.
3: This box slides... Bad.... I'm still trying to find a way to keep it still. I've got non stick slider pads on the bottom, and they're not helping. I'm running out of ideas.
4: No pre fitted/drilled holes for speaker wire to run though
5: Took 3 weeks to get (He builds them on order, specific for each sub.)
If you want I'll take some pictures of it today. Finally got my new camera. If I had to do it again, I'd probably make the sacrafice and get a toolwell box, and find somewhere else to mount my amp. I'm still considering that option, but once I pay the car off.
