Default Subwoofer Troubleshoot, Help :(

So, I just installed a sub in my S. Got it all wired up and turned on etc, and turned the bass up on the head unit. When I go around to the trunk to look at the amp settings, the sub sounds like a regular door speaker... Not much bass, but some... but I can hear regular sounds through it too This is not right...

I couldn't find a troubleshooting guide anywhere to address this issue...

Sub: Rockford P3SD210
Amp: Boss CW150

I know the amp is underpowered, but I don't want rap bass that rattles my trunk, I just want a little bit of thump

Does the manual say anything about a LPF? I found a couple sites that say that amp has one, but the pictures don't show anything. Is there such a thing as a LPF that is always on?

That HU has a crossover built in. You might also need to turn the sub output up to get much of anything.

Yeah... I think the amp is a piece of ... ****

One of my friends has one he is going to let me borrow for a day to test and see if that is the issue. He is gonna try to bring it over tonight.

pretty sure that the CDA-105 doesn't have LPF built-in, PXA-H100 is required for crossover functionality.

I just downloaded the manual for that amp and it doens't have any kind of crossover at all...

probably the most feature rich amplifier for under $1000.... lol

Lol, yeah, my friend brought his amp over to test and see if thats my problem...

We blew it ... LOL

He didn't have a fuse, and he said it takes a 30... white smoke... hissing noises... hahaha /fail

Put the crappy 200w back in and it works like it did before... now I have to find a way to have a LPF... ugh

You're right. I missed that the crossover was only available with the add-on.
