So I just bought by S and it has a Pioneer Premiere DEH-P520 which I am replacing with the Pioneer DEH-7800MP. Are the wiring harness plugs similar, or will I have to splice in the new connector? I only ask b/c it's raining outside and I don't wanna go out and pull the HU to check

For reference, anyone know the name of the speakers Kenwood used to produce that were super thin. I have custom rears and I was told the model, but I forgot now the name. My guy who is an car audio installer said they are 1/4" the size of regular magnets but produce just as good of sound quiality and they are rare now, said racers used to use them all the time....ring a bell?

 

Well, got the new HU in, and having customizable background pics and videos is a sick option!! Got a pick of my S on there as the background

Wiring wasn't too bad...the old harness wasn't the same fit, so I just had to cut and crimp new connectors up, about a 20 min job, and it turned out great!!
