system on stock radio?

Default system on stock radio?

ok im starting to order stuff for a system i want to install it useing the factory headunit...i know it can be done does any one know how or can any one send to a how to link?

so far a have ordered a alpine type R 10 i alrdy know where im getting my box...open to amp suggestions...

i wana keep the factory head unit cuz 1 the side controls and 2 i alrdy have a ipod adapter...

I have no idea what you're looking for so I'll give you a response in line with your question:

Yes you can hook things up to the stock head unit, just connect them all around.

i just notice what the title says lol stock not stick...i wana put a sub in the trunk but oem head unit doesnt have sub out or rca hook ups so....thats where im lost...

one option would be to get a stock head unit sound processor, I believe Alpine and Rockford Fosgate make them. Another option would be to get an aftermarket stereo and buy a dash control interface from Modifry so you can use your dash controls for the aftermarket stereo.

you need a line output converter in order to get the signal from the stock deck to the amp

why not just get an aftermarket head unit? the weakest link in a system will always bring down the potentials of others

its only the weakest link because the power output, he will be using an amplifier now and will not rely on the stock deck for power.

i mean why buy all those components when the central component in my opinion that you use everyday is the headunit, well good luck either way!
