Appears to be a Clarion? Is the stock head unit sufficient if I install a Fosgate amp and Focal seperates on the doors? BTW I am not looking to get into Stereo Review just want an acceptable system. Also my radio reception is fairly poor is this the same for everyone?

 

I thought that all Honda Head Units are Alpine's. And with rear speakers installed (and not great ones, either) I think the stock unit is pretty good. My radio reception is quite good, too. There are several good classic-rock stations at the edge of reception in my area that neither my Prelude nor my wife's Civic recieve very well - the S picks them up just fine....

A frequent problem that causes bad reception is a bad ground lead on the antenna. It's usually a lead near the extenal antenna that connects to the car body.
