Default Tail light/Break light won't turn

OK, so I changed the break interruptor switch and fixed the little rubber button with a small bolt and nut (permanent fix) and I also checked my break fluid which was at a healthy level and my break/tail lights are still on. Does anyone have a solution before I take my S2K to the over price Honda dealership.

So are you saying the brake lights remain on as if you have your foot on the brake at all times?

Sounds like your "brake interruptor switch" is set too close to the pedal. The button shouldn't not be depressed when you're not applying the brake, only when the brake is applied.

Either check that ^^^^ or check the switch.

Check continuity between terminals 1 and 4. There should be continuity when the switch is pressed.
Check continuity between terminals 2 and 3. There should be continuity when the switch is released.

Here is the procedure to adjust the brake pedal switch.

1. Disconnect the brake pedal position switch connector, loosen the brake pedal position switch locknut (A), and back off the brake pedal position switch (B) until it is no longer touching the brake pedal.
2. Lift up the carpet and the insulator cutout (C). Measure the pedal height (D) from the middle of the right side center of the pedal pad (E). Standard pedal height with carpet removed): 179 mm (7 1/16 inch)

3. Loosen the pushrod locknut (A), and screw the pushrod in or out with pliers until the standard pedal height from the floor is reached. After adjustment, tighten the locknut firmly. Do not adjust the pedal height with the pushrod pushed in.

4. Screw in the brake pedal position switch until its plunger is fully pushed in (threaded end (A) touching the pad (B) on the pedal arm). Then back off the switch 1/4 turn to make 0.3 mm (0.01 inch) of clearance between the threaded end and the pad. Tighten the locknut firmly. NOTE: The brakes will drag if there is no clearance. Connect the brake pedal position switch connector. Make sure that the brake lights go off when the pedal is released.
5. Check the brake pedal free play. Pedal Free Play

1. With the engine stopped, inspect the pedal free play (A) on the pedal pad (B) by pushing the brake pedal by hand.
2. If the pedal free play is out of specification, adjust the brake pedal position switch (C). If the pedal free play is insufficient, it may result in brake drag.
