Tesing headlight and ballasts

Default Tesing headlight and ballasts

I bought headlights,ballast etc... used. My car is in the shop so i cannot plug them in and test them. does anyone know if i can mickey mouse them at home with a car battery to test them. Factory harness has one black and one white wire.. thinking black is ground and whit is 12v positive Thanks, Brett

This might be crazy but your much safer driving to the shop and popping them in. Those ballests put out a ton of voltage, that could honestly hurt you. Just swing down and plug them in to test them.

Thanks for the info, I was looking at the ballast and it seemed like if you get zapped by those they could do some Dmage. THanks, Brett
