Wondering if you can jump an iPOD into the factory head unit.

Or if anyone has seen a changer that is in acutality mp3 capable..

I know it's a longshot... but worth a try

I know kenwood makes a MP3 CD Changer. You can always use a RF Modulator for the input.

Yes and for the older radios too. Its a device that plugs into the CD changer plug and supplies the inputs.

Yikes! I think I'll wait for the prices to come down. Perhaps a speaker upgrade is in order first?

The S634 Alpine uses their Ai-net bus, AFAIK the only Alpine changers you can get to work with the stock headunit use the older M-Bus interface system.

Tifosi,

I don't know if this will work, but Alpine makes an adaptor to use Ai Net changers on M-bus head units.

Therefore, could you get this adaptor hook it up to one of the adaptors that convert M-bus to Honda head units and get a working Ai Net changer on a Honda head unit?

Be warned I havent tried this but...

lol, that bundle of interfaces would be something to see! It could well work though

A serious question (though off-topic) - will the 634 mutichanger play back MP3 CDs on non MP3 headunits? i.e. will you be able to access folders and tracks from them? Has anyone tried one of these out yet? I have a 7969 HU and am interested in knowing this before I chop in my old 624 changer.

Cheers,

Tif

I was told the Ai Net MP3 changer will play the MP3s on the non-MP3 headunits, however the folder selection wont work. So you would have to have like 500 songs in one directory. This is unverified information, but...
