Those that know XM
I just installed mine and seriouly dislike the sound quality and volume. Has anybody heard of problems with output from XM? Everybody else I know has had the volume be the same in DB level to tuner and CD well mine is like HALF!!!! Plus the highs and lows don't seem to be there.
I am gonna try to see if I can pop my xm box into the sound board when I get back from my trip to see if it has the same problems with a different head unit. I really don't think its the antenna since I tested a new one or placement becaue I moved it all over the place and it either works or dosen't no half assed stuff.
Thanks for your replies

The problem could be in the connection from the decoder to the headunit, or that XM programming just sucks.
Well it is mostly a all or nothing thing! Ther is very little in between. I did talk to XM and they said to reset the box and they will send a new signal to it. I did that and well it made it a little better. Though I am still totally missing the high's and low's of the music. So its now only say a 25 or 30% decrease in volume but its totally missing the low end that you get from not only a CD but even FM. I mean come on FM still sounds better!!!!! What I plan on doing is swapping out the box for the box on the sound board at work and checking out if there is a volume/quality difference!
