Thanks Mr. Lomax -- I just took Lucid's suggestion and ordered a pair of Polk EX602s, and your photos and instructions will come in handy when it comes time to do the deed.

I'll be updating my install page when I get around to redesigning the New England page, but I'd like to combine information from everyone who has instructions on their site...yours, Lucid, and a few others...

Feel free to use my guide as well:

Lucid's Door Speaker Guide

Its the most detailed out there. Basically all you need is masking tape, a philips head driver, and a wrapped (w/electrical tape) flathead.

After 8 weeks of waiting I finally have red and blue rear panels in stock. If anyone needs cut panels or their panels cut for them, let me know.

That's debatable, Lucid!

Seriously, though, you did spend a lot more time documenting with pics your install then I ever did with mine. I tend to be less pic-happy and more verbose. Everyone has their style, which is why I hope to combine the best of everyone's install pages...not just on stereo's, but on all mods (audio, cosmetic, performance, etc.). I'll post when things get going.

If anyone does NOT wish me to use their material, please feel free to say no. I will ask before stealing, but it's nice to know ahead of time...

Oh no, no more debates.

Yeah you can put link directly to my guide page so it can be viewed in its entirety. S2ki will link an FAQ to it as well. I just don't want to see images lifted. I believe I took over 130 photos for that before editing them. Couple days work went into that alone. Yes, most of the it is obvious, but if someone who never did that before reads it twice I'm sure they'd feel comfortable taking the door off.

I know what you mean....some of it seems so obvious, but only after you've done it. If it wasn't for some of the original pioneers here, I would have never gotten that panel off (I would have thought I was pulling too hard). I wrote those instructions over a year ago to round out the somewhat sketchy details that were already out there, and they've helped quite a few people upgrade what is arguably the weakest link in the audio chain. Now with your rears rounding things out (I meant to check, do you have instructions on there for rear installs?), things are really shaping up. I was hoping to combine the best of all install pages (with appropriate credit, of course) instead of just links, but I'm sure users will take what we can collectively offer them.

Keep up the good work...

In general, it would probably be good to acknowledge the sources.

Bernie,

I was actually about to get the same speakers (either those or the Infinity perfect 63.3 3 ways). I was wondering if you are using an amp to run those speakers and also your impression? I'm really up in the air on what to get because i could get the Bostons at cost but the infinity's are supposedly crisper.. I just want to make sure that my 12" sub won't flush out the Bostons.. are you runninga Sub? any input would help.. thanks.
