Just what the heck are these? simple LED conversion for AP1?
Some of you guys have PMs... I'm at work, so if some of you guys got more than one PM I apologize.
Sobe, to answer your question... I started this project several years ago as I wanted LED taillights. But not just any tails, I wanted them to be animated (though at the time I wasn't sure how). This was taken on and off the shelf several times over the last couple of years, but I finally dusted it off and finished it. I think the fact that one of my lenses had fallen out and was just rolling around in the taillight assembly that prompted me to get going on it again. I figured if I'm going to fix the assembly, I might as well do it up right
These are not your typical LEDs where the brightness is crap or the boards is huge... the board measures 1/4" thick (LEDs and actual PCB), and the LEDs will leave spots in your vision. Not to mention they use less power when the brake pedal is pressed than the stock incandescent bulbs do when just the running lights are on!
So, I played around with some fun animations, tweaked the brightness, and the rest is now history. I ended up doing multiple shows in the the day and a half I was at Fall Colors last weekend... I would say they were well received

I've been dying to change my lights all over my S to LEDs but haven't seen anything that really does it for me. Just swapping out for LED bulbs is a little mediocre for my taste.
I am pretty damn anxious to see what these guys do!

I have the 16 or so LEDs that replace the bulb, and people say it's only slightly less bright than stock and definitely daytime visible.
BUT THIS IS &(@#*%&ing awesome. Sell me the black set that you didn't use! or mass produce the red ones! At least post pics!
