Default trunk rattle

I know a lot people use dynamat or something similiar to stop the rattling, but on my trunk its not that part that is actually irritating me rather its the entire trunk rattling against the locking mechanism or something else. Basically if I put my finger in between the trunk and bumper the rattle goes away, basically applying pressure on the trunk so it doesn't move. Samething happens when you push down on the trunk. Any suggestions?

Turn the bump stops on the trunk counter-clockwise a by degrees, and see if that keeps the trunk from rattling?

I noticed some "play" when the trunk lid is closed. The trunk lid moves downward when it's in the closed position and you press down on it.

Will turning up the bump stops cure this? I'll give it a try.

Thanks.

I have exact same problem. However, I have already adjusted the bumpstops and the rattle is still there. between the bumper and and rear brake light. Pressure in this area helps alot but how to keep the pressure there is what i need to know

Reach up inside the bumper and fill in the stupid plastic hole will polyfil and cover the rubber vent in the bumper with dynamat. That thing will drive you crazy plus doing this will keep the pressure moving towards the interior instead of out the bumper.
