Default Trying to build a clean system...

Picking up the car at 3pm tomorrow.

Might already start shopping for my system Monday. I want something that won't rob me of space, but still provide great SQ. This is what I'm thinking:

Head:

Amp:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLGTO752II

Speakers:

Nothing better than a local. ADSF also seems to be in the know, and seems straight up....give it a listen. IF you dont like it, we can work from there.

You guys (both of you, and S2k owners in general) are awesome.

I used to be active in the Celica community, and the majority was kids who would make a comments such as "that won't hit hard enough!!11" whenever I'd ask a question of this nature. I think I'm gonna find a home here.

I'll make sure to take you up on that offer sometime soon.

as always -- listen to what you're buying (especially speakers) first... if at all possible.

that being said, years ago i had some of the JBL GT series speakers (10+ years??), and they sounded quite nice... comparable to polk, but w/ weaker highs... it's been so long, i wouldn't count on them sounding anything like that now... i think Circuit City sells the JBL GT series.... (think)

i have a set of JBL boston acustics in my beater (92 civic) and they where the best investment i have made to this day!, i have yet to upgrade my S but i see no point as i have a whole new sound under my foot

anyway. nice coice of stuff and hope its what you want, but as the other guys said take time and listen to all brands. some may be more to 'your' taste than say mine.
im sure it has been said before but, dont be scared to take YOUR cd's in to a shop and start playing them on their systems as dont forget you are paying for what you want, not what the sales people want you to have.
