Default Tweeter – speaker upgrade question?

Car info 2004, stock door speakers and tweeter.
I will be replacing the stock door speakers with a 3-way speaker, my question is regarding the stock tweeter,
basically is it still needed after this upgrade?
Can I leave it unplugged? If I leave it plugged in will cause any issues? Or do I need to rewire to bypass
The tweeter all together?
Thanks in advance.

You can pull connection to tweeter. It is in parallel to main speaker and amplifier. So disconnecting it should not affect the connections to other components.

thanks for the reply, I was not sure if I needed to bypass a crossover, but I guess the stock speakers don't have one.
now to start removing some door panels.

Appears to be no crossover on the tweeter. Could be a small capacitor on the stock woofer. Don't remember seeing one.
