I have my tweeter in the stock location but I custom mounted mine for a little different look.

In my old setup I had teh tweeters in the bottom of the A-pillar:

It was stealth and sounded great.

I just traced the holes with a pencil and drilled the holes out of the plastic, making a grill.

Like DarkKnight said, I had my crossovers under the dash too. Focal 165K2's

I think flush mounted on the dash area, having the sound reflecting off the glass to the head. Seems like a good idea to me....just can't amp them too much or they will be too bright.

That's a nice setup. I love new and custom/different ways to install things. That's the first time I've seen that, and I like it.

Thanks guys. Just make sure you have steady hands.

Another reason I did it also was if I messed up, it would only cost me about $35 for the pair to replace the plastic A-Pillars. If i messed up on the door panels, they'd be about $250 used or $500 new

Yeah Yeah....teach us PLEEEAAASEEEE!!!! Can you post a DIY? I am looking to replace my stock door speakers soon, and was just going to settle on coaxials ('00 has no tweeters stock), but after seeing that, I am tempted to try components! You got any pictures / instructions of how you made the hole for the tweeters / mounted them?

PHAT!!!!
