Hi guys,

Sorry I don't have a DIY. The install was pretty easy though. The hardest part is running new wires through the doors!

dragon(s2k)mage:

There's plenty of space under the dash. I put them almost above the kick panel area in the dash.

jwa4378:

I don't have a template to drill the holes. The best thing I can say is use a ruler or tape measure to make a triangle with a pencil to outline the "grill" area. Then you can use a drill and make the holes.

I mounted the tweeters by attaching them to those metal strips with the holes. (I don't know what they're called). Then I drilled a small hole to the A pillar bar and secured them to that. If you pop off the A-Pillar plastic (very easy to do, and put back. Just pull on it) you'll see what i'm talking about. There's a perfect little space for tweeters in the corner.

Take you time and don't try to rush it. Use a vice grip or something to hold the A-Pillar when you drill the holes. If you mess up, don't worry they're cheap to replace. (unlike the door panels).

As for sound. I loved them. The sound bounced off the windshield and really "filled" the cabin.

That was my first S2000. This time around I didn't go all out with the sound system. I also got 04 door panels which already have the tweeter pods so I didn't do the A-pillar tweeters again. If I didn't have the 04's, then yes, i'd do the same thing.

Good luck!

what the... i like the idea but am scared of what that might do to imaging. i wish there was room up there to mount a small midrange driver as well! i like the holes but others shouldnt forget you could probably quite easily construct a rectangular speaker clothed grill to cover the opening as well...might look quite nice if it were color matched

Nice.....I am making a tool well box for a 10" sub now. What did you cover it with? Looks clean. I originally wanted it to look OEM, but now I like the look of the exposed sub. Now I just need to get a strong grill.
