Default Tweeter Mount

In would like to hear how and where you have mounted your tweeter from a component set in a pre 2002. Pictures and cost of the mounting would be great.

Model Year: 2000

Pictures:

Concept: Drill a couple holes in the mouting cup, then tie it to the grill on the door

Cost: Uh...about a buck? I'm not sure how much zip ties cost...I buy them by the bucket...

...for fetish purposes ...

Are they partially blocked by your leg? Do you have any concern that they may get kicked when getting in or out of the car?

Yeah...that low on the grill (The first pic is of my old setup that got robbed , they are partially blocked by my leg and I do fear kicking them off when getting in/out of the car...actually, I fear my passenger doing it more because I'm ever so careful

In time, I may move them up to be more like the CDT tweets were

Focal 165K2 - tweeter install pic MY 2001

i couldn't bear the idea of using a hole cutter on my door... i've done it in other cases, but just couldn't this time, so i paid 'the' local shop $75 to have the speakers installed...

only in certain cases do your legs block the tweeter, since it's so far forward on the door. but the Focals are so brilliant, that even when partially obstructed, they still sing well. of course, if your leg is resting on the tweeter, nothing can be done to help that.
