Default Undetectable radar detector

I live in an area, where radars detectors are illegal.
Earlier this summer,I got stopped,by a police officer, not speeding or anything.
He just asked me to give him my detector, seized it,and fined me for $630.00.
Bought another one (Passport X50 Blue),and had a close call last week-end;my GF just had enough time to hide it(Guess where)when I got stopped by an officer, asking me to give him my detector.Argued with him, that I had no detector, but he said his detector's detector went bezerk, when I drove in front of him.(Again not speeding).
Anyway,he searched the car, did'nt find anything, and let me go.
Passport X-50 is supposed to be VG-2 undetectable!(not the case as I can see)
Question is oes it exist a good performing radar detector, that the cops cannot detect??
In the mean time, got a brand new blue X-50 for sale!

You could get a hard-wired detector I suppose. There would be zero visual evidence, since they use small sensors on the bumpers.

Honestly, if it's illegal where you live, I'd just call it a day. That $630 is already more than a speeding ticket would have been. The odds of you getting a speeding violation aren't THAT greatly reduced by a detector in the first place- probably less than your overall odds of being pulled over are increased.

Oh yeah... how much are you asking?

It's not that the cop actually saw the detector.
They have some kind of detector, that detects the radar detector.
The last one told me that his detector's detector.went bezerk, when I passed in front of him,and he was sure,I had a detector.but as he could'nt find anything,he let me go .(good guy,he could have seized the car ,and tow it to the pond to get it searched)
Anyway,I was under the impression, that detectors were some kind of receivers, that did not emit anything;how can they know, you have one?

Valentine Research, another detector maker, has a pretty good writeup about this on their website:
http://www.valentine1.com/lab/Previously2.asp
this writeup is a few years old, however, and the state-of-the-art may have changed.

http://www.radarbusters.com/support/spectre/4.asp
shows tests of various detectors against a detector detector - no production detectors appeared immune, though some were better than others.

There is the VG2 detection and the VG3 detection which is the newest. They are mostly stealth to vg2, but vg3 picks up almost all of them.

So,the perfect detector does not exist yet ?
They can detect all of them, no matter what;in wich case, they'r useless,in my neck of the woods!!Right?

there is no undetectable detector... there are several detection systems, and as best i can recall, no detector is immune from all of them.

even fully installed (integrated) systems are detectable. and i've heard that they will tear those out on the spot or impound the car if caught. btw, i live no where NEAR Canada... so, completely rumor.

If the companies would spend the extra $0.25 it would cost to make a proper shield...

Best advice, if they are primarily using laser in you area get a Blinder Extreme M20 and put some Veil on the headlights and the front plate if you have one.

I guess you found your next product. I'm sure you can charge $20 for them. (I don't get to argue with Mac often enough.)

A friend of mine just spent 6 months getting a voting machine to pass FCC emissions testing, it's pretty complicated stuff. Seems to me if it were 25
