Default Upgrading Speakers

I am updating my door speakers to the Infinity Reference Series. Do I need to use the supplied crossover or can I direct connect to the factory harness? If I need to use the crossover, where is everyone placing the unit?

If they gave you one, you should diffenently us it! Once you take the door off you'll notice a black hollow spacer, just make a hole in it to run your wires and use some heavy duty locking velcro to hold it in place.

I would suggest you purchase these adapters so that you don't have to cut off your factory plug. You can get these at Crutchfield.com for like $13 bucks:

I got the adapters from Best Buy cheaper. Thanks for the input and suggestions.

definitely use infinity's crossovers. strap them in the door. there is room; think secure under hard driving.

Install is done. The only thing that I could not get to work was the 2 tweeters in the S-pods. They stuck out too much in the rear. Guess I will have to figure out a different mounting option
