Default Using stock Tweeters

Has anyone replaced just the front speakers and not the tweeters ?? From what I have heard the tweeters are a problem to replace and when replaced the highs are too bright! It may be best to keep the stock ones?

I left the stock tweeters in and also am running the co-axial tweeters in the new speakers. In my case as my hearing now cuts out at around 9k it isn't an issue.

By the time you are able to afford a really good system you no longer can appreciate it!

Can't you tweak the x-overs to make the tweets less bright?

Yes, a few ohm resistor will do this...

I kept the stock tweeters, but rewired them to run off my amp. Sounds pretty good IMHO
