Default V1 Radar Power Cord Extension

The cable for the Valentine 1 is able to be disconnected from the radar detector, and its looks very similiar to an ethernet cord. I was wondering what kind of cable is used to generate power as im looking to buy another one so i can run the wires without being seen.

Will a reg. ethernet cable transmit power?

It's not Ethernet(RJ45), those connectors are larger. I believe it's just RJ11 cable, otherwise, regular telephone wire.

You can buy a hardwire kit, with a fuse assembly and long RJ11,
direct from Valentine.
These are normally included when you buy a V1.

Super easy install, and no wires shown. Took me about 5-10 minutes to install.
Here is a DIY: Hardwiring radar detector.

yep...but I would be careful w/telephone wire cause I bought some at Home Depot and it didn't work w/the V1 (tied 2 different packs too)...so to play it safe I ordered directly from Valentine 1

Its simple 2 pair phone line. Most phone line is single line. Get the two pair (4 internal wires) and you're good
