Vehicle speed sensor for volume control

Based on my reading of modifry's site, looks like he'd be willing to reprogram the unit for whatever custimization one might want. I also wonder if it is possible to just use the volume control sensor part of the unit - that is only hook up that one wire to the speed sensor. That way you would not need to purchase the harness.

How the unit works is laid out pretty well on his tech site. As an aside, I wonder if the speed control unit will still work if one has snipped the speed sensor wire as part of the "put the top down while rolling" mod?

The DJ Cube thingy witht the joystick is awsome though. That giant knob should have been made into something more useful from the factory.
