S2KinVA, how did you get the bottom piece in their in one piece? And how is the backboard held up exactly?

It is one piece, we cut the board to follow the floor of the trunk, it is actually attached to the fiberglass box. Once that is in we put in the back and the sides.

It was a job to get it in the car, lots patience and time

So how do you keep the backboard from falling down? I'm trying to build a setup w/ backboard and I want to know how I need to make it before I use up all my material.

Its a very tight fit and we used L brackets.
