Default VFAC removed need help

First off Id like to say hello from NC. I just purchased a 2000 S2000. It Came with DC 4 2 1 headers, injen intake, and an Apexi Vfac Not the second generation. I have searched most of the S2000 forums along with the hondas. The VFAC was tuned wrong. So I removed it. They wired it in instead of getting a harness. Im pretty good with wires so I wired it back up matching the wires he cut. Also I disconected the negative before I started. Plug it back in and conect battery and it fires up. After letting it sit I take it for a spin. It refuses to go past 6000 rpms. I checked the oil and it was slightly getting below L. Im like oh ok so I run out to the store put a quart in and take it down the road no cookies for me still stutering. Now I try reseting the check engine light and codes and fire it up but no. Im out of ideas what else do I need to be looking at? Im gonna get it scanned today. Has anyone else had this problem?

This may or may not help, but I'll try anyways. I am not sure how much you have read already but the ECU will not let the car rev above 6k when it is not fully warmed up. You must have 3 bars (AP1) on your temp gauge before you can rev above 6k.

If they car was fully warmed when you tried, then I have no idea as a VAFC is out of my league.

Good luck!

-Mike

Taken from the stickey in Under the Hood. "P1259 VTEC System Malfunction" Certainly explains why it stops at 6k

Sorry I can't be of more help man, good luck.

OK I have just left the stealership. They said It must be in the wiring. For anyone curios as to which wires are the vtec wires on a s2000, blue and black go to the pressure switch, and green and yellow go to the vtech sensor. Hope this helps.
