There is actually a remote lock feature on that model (and most of the current DEI alarms). It will beep the remote when you accidentally press it, but will not send anything to the actual alarm.

I have installed a few systems on my previous car and would like to put this in my new S. Does this write up include the wires under the dash and their locations needed for the install?

I am watching my friend do the Viper 5901 install. He has been at it 3.5 hours so far, and that's a guy who does this for a living.
After watching him, I would never advise anyone to do this themselves, and I have some electronics background too.

Seven hours of install by a pro who happens to own an S2K, still not quite done. Would never advise anyone to do this themselves.

The not done had to do with not having an ignition bypass module to use with remote start. He will get one and complete the job soon, just a few more minutes.

BTW, he did an awesome, clean-looking job, very professional as he is. He is a perfectionist, as you can tell from looking at his 2004 S2K. This guy just got hired as a tech at a local Honda dealership.

I like the Viper 5901 very much since it has lots of alarming options and a one-mile range to page you. i can't think of a better alarm and for a reasonable price.

Its not that bad actually, anyone can do a quick job. but to hide all the wires properly will take tons of time, I spend average of a week after work hours to complete a car. all hidden wires and wrapped wiring.
