I think you need to clarify what you're asking. I don't think too many others on here, including myself, are familiar with the "VW side marker mod." Do you mean making the sidemakers stay lit with parking lights? if so, I've done it to my s2k. I used the Modifry wiring modules though.

No, he's talking about how many years ago, before clear OEM side markers were readily available, Bob (Modifry) installed some flat looking clear VW side marker light modules into his S2K (as I recall with some minor modification to the VW parts). Once aftermarket OEM knockoffs and actual OEM markers became readily available, there was little point to this other than to be "different."

I see. Thanks for the clarification. Not sure what the VW markers looked like, but seems a little pointless to use them. "JDM" Honda sidemarker lights, made by Stanley, have been pretty easy to get (at least in CA), since the 90s. I had both the regular OEM and flat ones on my Integra way back when. The regular ones are pretty much identical to the s2ks. The flat ones are a little bigger, if I recall correctly. They look sleeker, I guess, but they really defeat the purpose of having sidemarkers.
