Default S2k wont start up. Dead silent

Hey guys. I'm new to the thread and recently had a situation with my s2k. It won't start up at all.
Turn the key
Hit the clutch, gears in neutral
No noise, no start.

Battery is fully charged
I'm able to start the car up with a screwdriver touching the studs on the solenoid to the starter...could it be just a bad solenoid overall?

Sounds like connections to solenoid or bad unit, itself. First, check the large gauge wires going from battery to starter (and solenoid). Good clean & tight contact.

Good luck!

probably the plastic piece on the clutch pedal that hits the clutch switch. they get brittle and break, typically found on your floormat in pieces.

here is a diy to bypass it which im not recommending you do or dont do, but it has pictures/diagrams to show what im talking about https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/619...switch-bypass/

Mine broke years ago, I stuck a small bolt and nut in its place and havent had an issue.

If the plastic piece is present and doing its job then you will need to look elsewhere. good luck
