Default Weird electrical issue

Yo I have an 01 ap1 and for some reason when I turn my steering wheel all the way (either side) the power seems to short or something.

it’s happened multiple times and I’m not sure whether it’s just a bad battery or the alternator is going bad.

has anyone had this issue before?

I have other issues on the car right now too and I’m not sure if they’re related.
1. Passenger headlight not working, just replaced the bulb ballast headlight unit and the fuse. Not sure if there’s an issue with the relay.
2. check engine light turned on for the catalytic converter, but I’m pretty sure i just have to replace it though.

You getting any CEL codes for that converter issue?

How old is the battery?

I believe the code I got back was P0420. I had replaced one of the o2 sensors previously as the old one was messed up

I got a new battery back in March or April 2020.

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust and/or catalytic converter?

Just went to o Reilly’s to check the status of my battery and alternator and everything was good.

The positive terminal had some battery acid on it so I’m going to clean it off with some solution and a wire brush. I also got some no corroding gel to apply after it’s been cleaned. Hopefully that works otherwise I may need to replace the terminal
