I bought iPod adapter P/N 08A28-1J1-1000-01 for my 2003 OEM Radio to add my MP3 iPod player. The plug that is SUPPOSED to.fit the back of my radio doesn't?! What's UP? I have got to be missing something?
Thanks in advance for the help

Reason: added photo of plug
AP2 radios were supplied by a different manufacturer from AP1's. They are plug&play compatible with all
years of S2000's, but the accessories (XM tuner and trunk-mounted CD changer) are different, and use a
different connector, as you have discovered. AFAIK there there aren't any adapters to allow you to use
mismatched accessories.
Good Morning,
Have you any idea of which OEM radio I need? If I just buy an OEM AP2 radio will that work, or is there a specific year radio I need? I appreciate the help. this is driving me crazy. I don't want an aftermarket radio, I don't want XM, I don't want Bluetooth, etc. I just want to listen to my iPod. It has enough songs that I like on it, and it will probably take the rest of my life to listen to all of them.
I believe a few years ago someone advertised a cable to fix this problem, I believe. I didn't pay much attention because I was new to the community and just bought my car. I just wish I had paid more attention.
Thanks again,
Robert
I'm guessing there are at least four (4) different radios in the S2000 all specific by model year since there were no optional radios. No clue of the differences though. Optional XM radio was a dealer installed option and would only work on radios with an XM port and button on the front panel. Notes I found indicates a "splitter" or kit of some sort is required to connect this. It's a generic "fits Hondas" and not specific to the S2000.
Chuck,
What is the part #, where can I buy one, etc. I'll invest a few dollars to get what I want.
Thanks in advance for the help. This maybe the solution.
Take Care,
Robert
Chuck,
That ‘looks’ like exactly what I need. I have a brand new in the box CD Changer that I can’t find right now. My mechanic is gone for the next few weeks. My job was to explore the fixes.
What I was told about the radios being all the same has caused me some problems but I’ll eventually get there and then tell everybody what happened.
Thanks a ton for your support, time and energy.
Robert
