Weird smell from trunk...

Default Weird smell from trunk...

Ok guys i installed everything and it sounds good...but there is a wierd smell from the trunk....is this normall...i checked the amp..and its not even that hot...i dont know what it could be....any suggestions...?

it smells like something is buring but not a burnt smell..

its kinda like a something that is getting heated....is it the amp breaking in...since its new..

I think he meant, does it smell like an electrical melting smell? Or does it smell like rubber melting, wood burning??

I had a similar problem. Apparently, the fiberglass bottom of the tool well was leaking and holding water somehow. I never found where it was leaking / gaining moisture from, but there was always a little puddle in there. I just popped a little nail hole in the bottom so it could drain . No problems since. My smell was like Mildew.
