What do I need 4 channel or 2 channel
Currently I would like to get an Amp but I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff. What do I need if I only have my two door speakers and say a 10'' sub in the trunk. When it comes to 2 channel and 4 channel, I'm not to sure what there talking about.
Each coil is a channel. Regular speakers have one coil (1 set of + and - )
Subwoofers very often have 2 coils (DVC, meaning Dual Voice Coils)
For your application, you want a 4 channel amp. if the sub is SVC (single voice coil) you will be in tri-mode, meaning channels 3+4 are bridged (combined) to double the power and act as one channel. Let me know if you need any other help.
