Default What to do with my 2 channel amp.

Ok so I have an Audiobahn 4002T amp left over from when I had a sub in the Prelude.

Since I have a 2000 AP1 and only have two speakers, I was wondering if I should use the 4002T amp to power a component system for the doors and tweeters?

(I swapped the 2000 for the 2002 door panels with the tweeters in them)

I'm also looking for a really small self powered sub that I could use and throw somewhere in the trunk. I would like as much trunk space as possible and would prefer not to use that bucket for a custom sub.

Also forgot to mention I have a Sony headunit with a USB sirius radio capability, etc. don't know the exact model to be honest.

I'm not looking for a show set up, just looking for a bit more performance for sound. Anyone have any recommendations?

i would shy away from most self-powered subs. i had one in my S behind the drivers seat for 2 days. sent it back after that. was an 8inch blaupunkt, and it sounded like ass.

i have however heard good things about infinity bass link.

if you have the amp, go ahead and use it for the door speakers.
when you do your wiring, run a four-channel RCA so if you do decide
to add a sub, self-powered or otherwise, you won't have to rewire.

if the 2 channel amp has a switch for lpf "low pass filter" a full setting and then hpf "high pass filter you should set it to hpf and run your door speakers off of it so long as it puts out the correct wattage rms to match the speakers

Yes it has that. It's an audiobahn A4002T

Anyone have any suggestions on component speakers that would match up to that?

Ok So I don't know car audio to well but to match up component speakers to an amp. The amp's RMS per channel has to match or exceed the components RMS right???

So if I were to get:

http://cgi.ebay.com/POLK-AUDIO-db6501-6-5-...id=p3286.c0.m14

or

http://cgi.ebay.com/INFINITY-REFERENCE-602...id=p3286.c0.m14

I should be fine right?

Anyone have an idea as to what would be better?

Oh and to add to my last post. I have an extra 1.2 Farad Tsunami Capacitor. Will I even need to install this?
