Hi guys... I just wanna ask a few questions.. what is ohms? If I get a 2 ohms amp, and I get a 4 ohms subwoofer, would it cause anything serious to happen aka blowing it?

Have anyone tried the phoenix gold octane amplifier and/or sub's, I find it rather inexpensive so im thinking should I go for it?

thanks in advance for info!

stingerbtry has you covered on the ohm's, so I can say that Phoenix Gold has great quality products but I can't say about their Octane line since it was just added this year. I think it is pretty much on the same level as their Tantrum line but with tuner appearence. I've delt with the Tantrum line I was impressed by it enough to say that I wouldn't mind running it my car but in the end I'm biased because I like Phoenix Gold too much.
