Default what guage power and ground?

ok so next weekend i'm planning on doing my install and am looking for a good amp install kit/interconnects/speaker wire to finish out the system. dont want cheap but not looking to buy sq competition qualtiy $tuff. what should i go for?

here's my system:

HU Alpine 9855
Front Stage Focal kp165
Sub Polk DX 12" (fill in for now)
Amp Soundstream Tarantula 680.4 (85W rms x 4channel)

8 gauge? 4 gauge? anything good around $100-$150?

i have about 500' of 4strand twisted 14guage speaker wire left over from my home theater room, i'll assume this would be good stuff to use or not? it's not cheap crap!

4 gauge should be fine - just be sure to match the ground with the same wire

Yeah, 14 gauge twisted pair is good stuff. Use a 4 gauge kit. You won't have to upgrade it unless you have multiple large amps.

I take it you know to run the speaker wires and RCAs on the opposite side of the car as the 4 gauge power wire...
