I have had a V1 for 1.5 years now, and I threw out the box and direct power wire since my old car worked fine with the cigarette lighter. I now want to hard wire the V1 in to my 2002 S2000's fuse box. Do I use a regular phone wire and splice the one end in order to connect to the fuse box.

I don't need an explaination of how to hard wire it, I have seen the posts. I just need an answer on what type of wire. Thanks guys.

 

Yes, my Passport uses the same phone wire that the V1 uses. Just get a 2 wire non-coiled phone cable and it'll even plug right into the V1 end.
