Lucid, Did I see in another post that you had the mute working for the rear speakers also? I have been waiting for that mod before I get the rear speakers. If that is the case I would be interested.

On either side of the rear speakers in Lucid's photos, there are two hool like things on the back of the passenger compartment. What are those hooks for anyway?

Honda calls them coat hangers, but in reality there're for optional storage sacks you can hang from them. And no, If you have speakers there you can't put the storage sack there.

Hooks for storage?

You're probably right, but Honda is lame with that one. If you're going to put it hooks for storage racks, they could've put it better storage. What? We're goin' hang shopping bags on those hooks.

Honda sells them as an option, but Muz makes better ones.

Lucid, in the large photos on your post, it looks as if the 4" speaker extends just a little beyond the panel itself (over onto the carpet area). HOwever, in your signature icon, the speaker looks like it rests entirely within the panel.

Is this the absolute best fit (with the speaker extending off of the plastic panel?

Good point! Yes since those have bigger magnets they have to be set lower. Kenwoods are 2 3/8 magnet dia. so they can be completely on the panel. The wider magent speakers fit completely in the plastic, but the grills do overhang. Rest assured they are a drop in fit. This is why accurate measurements, cutting etc. is important.

The grill only hangs over the carpet maybe an inch. Most people don't mind, those that do can get ones that don't go beyond the panel. Who really looks back there anyway?
