[QUOTE=Andy Kirk,Sep 10 2004, 12:09 AM]It dosen't matter weather the switching device is in the negative or the positive lead, the current is exactly the same.

What do holes do? Now that is a good question. My son has complaned many times about my farting, I plan on retiring within the next year, the only thing in the way is a certain debt for a certain object with a VETC engine. Him! That will take care of the electrons.
But we digress, the question is holes, I fear this will take considerable rescearch to explain. I might contact the few remaining guys I know at NASA to look into this problem but with the budget cuts I think that it's no use. Maybe the loss of hearing I have is the result of the holes, I always thought is was the altiriliry and the jet engines 25 years of it. Bet it was the holes.
By the way, the prices you quote are al lot less then switches and relays, no wonder they are in use. I was designing a dual commo and navigation system into a NASA C130 and my manager did sugest using a FET or transistor to switch the power and I persisted in using 4 relays. OTOH I did seriously consider the use of a transistor to mute the HU in the s2000 when I installed the new Alpine instead of the backwards wired relay a certain sponser of his site sold me.
