Default Whats more important?

I am getting ready to upgrade my stereo. I have been asking questions about the true value of rear speakers. From the sounds of the comments, everyone has been very happy with the results of the rear speakers. Here's the question, whats more important? Rear speakers or upgrade the headunit and scraping the stock cd changer? I will be using componet high end speakers in the door panels with an amplifer in the trunk. Help GaToR

The head unit path is the better way to go. If you are putting the money down for seperates, I assume that you are planning subs down the road. Keep this in mind when purchasing your amplifier. You may want to purchase a 4channel amplifier to power rears or even to bridge mono for subs. If you install the amplifier now, that will be less work for you later.

I don't really have subs in mind for the future. The amp I am considering is the F307 alpine or the 480 qc coustic. both are 4 channel amps. GaToR
