Default When making a fiberglass box,

How thick should the fiberglass be? For example when making a wooden box i was told 3/4 mdf.

Well that depends on the sub and if its ported or not.

But on average I would make it:

3/8-1/2" think but you can get away with

It depends on the sub you use. But it changes the the freq. and sound/tone. You can tune the box differently. But again that will depend on the sub.

Some subs sound great ported, some don't, some can sound great either way.

Sorry I wasn't clearer. My question was whether a fiberglass box should be thicker for a ported application than for a sealed application.

Needs to be able to support the pressure without flexing or worse cracking from the pressure.

Makes sense when I think about it. Some of the back energy wave escapes through the port so there's less pressure on the enclosure (compared to sealed).
