This might seem like a strange question, but how do you lock it down to where the spare tire goes? Isn't that where you would install your amp? How is everyone securing the rack in there?

 

If I'd have to guess, I'd think that folks make use of the bolt hole that is used to secure the spare.

 

thats what i did. I used the factory spare bolt, but i made my 'rack' out of cardboard and styrofoam and some non-slip kitchenmats. works good, but just too ghetto for my s car.

 

I understand that they use the spare tire hole, which would basically be in the middle of the amp rack. Well then are people bolting down the rack then mounting the amp on top of it? Seems like that would be a major PIA to mount it to the board once in the spare tire area. Or is there room to come up from below the board to secure it?
