I agree with the stealth install. I wanted nothing to
be seen in the trunk.

My amp is located to the left of the spare tire.
The installer mounted it on a thin board and
had to remove some of the insulating material on the top of the gas tank
to get it to fit. It fits fine and no problems overheating.

I'm upgrading to a more powerful amp later this week.
I'll take some pictures of the amp and the sub in
the passenger footwell and post when I get them.

 

I used the little shelf in the trunk to squeeze two nice size Zapco amps. The shelf is pretty much wasted space because it is so narrow.

 

I have my amp stored left of the spare tire. No need to drill. I simply placed it there. My Sony xm1502sx never over heats even though it's between 2 insulators.

 

have you considered adding them to inside trunk lid?
