Click on "MyS2K" at the top of the window, go to look for a link on the left in "General Options" called "Purchase Membership" and it'll display your active membership info, including the #.

And yes, you will want the IR model, not the wired.

So as of right now I am going to have the Alpine deck installed ipod ready, then the Polk components (Momo series) for the doors and the Spods, Alpine 4channel amp model#MRPF450, along with upgraded wires!!!

 

noob question here (so bear with me), but why is the IR preferable over the wired? easier installation? are there any issues with the IR, such as lag or any thing else that would affect its proper function?

 

Its not a choice. You cant get the wired. It wont work with the 56.

Yes, the wired version will work perfectly with the 9857. That's what I have in my S right now
