Where can I run the speaker wire at to hide it all and make it look professional? Right now I have it sort of tucked under the top of the center console along the clips, but its not working well as you can see the wire hanging out and at the end of the console it comes out behind the seat and up under the plastic panel into the space under the top to the amp. Is their a better spot or way I can run it to hide the wire. Also the wire comes out at the back/side of the trim around the head unit and goes under the console, looks real half-ass done. How/where can I run the wire to make it look like a professional install?

How about running the wire under the carpet?

Remove all trim panels around the door, un-bolt the seat, remove the seat, and the carpet can now un-clip, and be lifted up to run all wiring.

Squeezer,

Look at my install...I ran it under the carpet around the foot well and under the carpet clips to make sure it stayed there.

Well, while we're talking about where to run the wires , what's the best route for getting the changer wire into the trunk? And where, in the trunk, is the best spot to stick the thing? My first thought on the latter is up tight on the left, right against the bulkhead.

CRussel,

Alright...

1. Remove a seat... if you plan on placing the changer on the left side of the trunk (as you are standing in front of the trunk... placing the changer on the left.) Remove the Drivers side seat. Just be careful removing the seat as the feet of the seat can easily scratch you plastic panels... I know this the hard way.

2. Remove the trim panels around the door.

3. Un-bolt the seat belt bolt on the floor.

4. Un-screw the plastic panel that is on the wall behind the seat.

5. Lift up the carpet all the way from the head unit to the back wall of the passenger compartment.

6. Go to the trunk area, and remove all of the panels of the back wall. There are two, one for access to the spare tire and there is one to the left of that. All snaps just pull out.

Now you are free to run the CD changer cable all the way to the back.

Hope this helps! Let me know if any of this is confusing, but as you move along it should be fairly easy.

1. Remove a seat...
Sigh. I knew in my heart it would start like that.
Unfortunately, that sounds all too clear. But thank you very much for detailing it out. I appreciate it!

What is the procedure for removing the seat? Where are the bolts located and how many do I take out. Is it an easy job or takes a while?
