Who has tackled fiberglass work?
Make sure you also wear a mask when working with the glass (cutting or laying up). You do not want any powder or glass fiber getting into your lungs or sinus'
You can buy 1/4 sheets of MDF at most lumber yards - make your own speaker ring, the fit will be much better that getting a generic ring (10" subs vary from 8.7" cut-outs to 9.5" cutouts).
I would recommend that you get your resin and glass from either west marine or HD/Lowes. Just make sure that it is not old (typically resin only has a shelf life of about 1 year max). This will work fine for doing a one-off enclosure since you are not concerned with how it kicks or releases. If you are doing production stuff using molds - then you would want to buy higher quality resins.

can you clarify what a "one-off" enclosure is. thanks
If you are building one you will likely not need to make a mold.
