I believe Alpine makes the OEM head units for Honda.

After pulling the radio out, I see that it is Matsushita.

Thanks.

I was wondering how many watts RMS is there on the 200-2001 Head Units and how many watts RMS watts there are on the 2002 and up head units?

Also, since the S2000 is wired for Rear Speakers, is it possible to bridge the power from the head unit and use all of the the bridged power to power only the front two speakers? I was thinking of adding some components to the front.

i think it was something like 7 Wrms on the '00 & '01 HU's and 15 Wrms on the '02 & '03 HU's. i have no clue regarding the MY04.

and no, it isn't possible to bridge the power for any of those head units, nor is it likely to be possible to bridge the power of any HU.

Head units are stable at 4 ohms. Bridging two channels would ask for 2 ohms. that's not enough resistance and your radio would fry...most likely.

Thanks for the info.

If I was to do one of the following, which would give better sound quality?:

1) Get an aftermarket HU only.

OR

2) Just get some component speakers for the front and keep stock headunit.

OR

3) Get an Amp.

OR

4) Add some rear Coaxial speakers.

Which one would have better results if I was to do only one of the options?
