Who makes speakers with blue cones?
Bought a 2005 last week and it clearly has aftermarket speakers in the doors. I can see a metallic turquoise/blue-green cone through the grille, but I can't tell what brand they are. I'm also too lazy to take off the door panel.
Who makes speakers with a metallic blue-ish cone?

Really? Hmm, every other Honda I've ever owned has the shitty black paper cone speakers.
I was pleasantly surprised at the bass output from the stock headunit, and especially for shallow-mount speakers.
From what I gather, the OEM speakers in the S2000 are Panasonic (Matsushita) and the deck is Clarion.

Your only saying that because you haven't heard a "good" system in an S2000 or you haven't tried to drive down a highway with the top down yet and realized that you really can't hear the music so well. Once you do, you'll figure out that it pretty much sucks...

For a bare-bones factory system it's fine, but I plan to swap the HU and speakers somewhere down the road.

I don't know why everyone says you can't hear the stereo on the highway...I was doing 75 with the windows and top down and it was fine.

You must be somewhat short in stature. If you are low enough and forward enough in the cockpit you might be able to hear the stereo at 75 top down on the expressway but most people can't. There certainly is no bass whatsoever.
I'll upgrade it later, but for now I'd rather use the cash for other things...to make the motor sound better.
